Tree Planting In South Florida

Properly planting a tree is simple but does require some advance preparation. Doing so will ensure your tree thrives once it is in the ground. There are many reasons it is to your advantage to choose to plant new trees. Property Values and Commerce are a consideration as treed neighborhoods and business districts attract prospective buyers and consumers. In urban areas across the country, homes with trees sell for an average of 10-20 percent more. Consumers are willing to spend 12 percent more in stores with trees in front of them than without.

There are also energy savings to consider. Homes shaded by trees have 10-30 percent savings in air conditioning costs compared to homes without shade. Trees improve air quality. They absorb pollutants and store carbon, reducing the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. Trees help rain soak into the ground rather than run off the surface, facilitating drainage and stormwater mitigation.

Furthermore trees add beauty to neighborhoods, create recreational opportunities and provide relief to physical and visual stress. This improves our health and quality of life. No matter your reason for adding trees, know that by planting trees at home, work or in your neighborhood, you are investing in your community and forging a green legacy for future generations to enjoy.

Planting is best done between October and April. Container-grown plants can be planted any time of the year, but are easier to care for if planted in autumn or winter, as they need less watering than ones planted in spring or summer. Bare-root and rootballed trees and shrubs are only available in autumn and winter.

Zimmerman Tree Service provides professional tree planting services to ensure you have healthy trees that will grow to maturity. Trees are natures great cleansers of the atmosphere, pulling carbon and releasing oxygen. Every tree you plant, helps the planet breathe fresher air.
